I have a small spot of macular degeneration in the
left eye. This was not caused by aging but by my
doctor who, after an operation, did not close the
eye ball properly, causing the eye ball to
collapse to a pressure of 3! I kept telling them
that something was wrong because my eye sight was
not returning, but they kept waiting. What should
I do about this?
Also, I have been considering acupuncture to
restore that area with new blood vessels and
tissue. Do you think that would work?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Answer:
Thank you for your
question to the Florida Eye Center. I am sorry
that the doctor may feel that you have macular
degeneration. Have you had a second opinion ?
There are many
treatments for many of the possible problems that
could be wrong. The problem may resolve with time
or special prescription drops may be the
treatment. I have never heard of any acupuncture
treatment for any of the known problems.
